Kauppinen says media reports on the allegations contain direct falsifications. He also attends to petition the Council for Mass Media in Finland over the issue.

The Ministry of Finance and The Financial Ombudsman Bureau is due to issue a report on the relations between the Local Government Pensions Institution and the now-bankrupt real estate development firm Nova Group.

Allegations have been made that Keva favoured Nova in a real estate deal involving a snowmobile factory in Rovaniemi as a result of its generous donations to the 2007 campaign coffers of the Centre Party. The CEO of Keva took part in a controversial meeting with Nova Group executives that year at the official residence of Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen. Soon after the meeting, the Pensions Institution invested millions in Nova's factory project.
