The 27 year-old Siegfrids won the contest held at Espoo Areena by attaining the maximum vote of both the public and judges.
Krista Siegfrids is from Kaskinen in western Finland and has been studying in Vaasa to be a teacher. She also has experience in the theatre.
Runners up in the competition were Mikael Saari in second place with the song _We Should Be Through _with Diandra placed third with the song Colliding Into You.
Finland has only once won the Eurovision Song Contest. This was in 2006 when monster rockers Lordi took Europe by storm with their song Hard Rock Hallelujah. Last year the title went to Sweden’s Loreen with the song Euphoria.
