PMMP call it quits

The popular Finnish pop band PMMP has decided to call it a day. Their summer and autumn touring calendar is already fully booked as they promote their latest album, but this new tour will be their last.

The acclaimed live act will play their final gig in October.

“After a ten year journey it feels like you have to stop and think whether or not the destination has already been reached with this band,” Paula Vesala said in a press release.

Always chance of a comeback

However, the decision is not necessarily irreversible.

“If at some time it feels like PMMP could continue, then it can continue,” added Vesala.

The band is currently working on an album that contains new versions of previous productions. PMMP's six albums have sold over 370,000 copies.
