Grilling cheese pulled from shelves in E.coli scare

The Finnish Food Safety Authority Evira has found E.coli in a cheese product sold at supermarkets in the capital region and in Lahti. The product has already been withdrawn from sale, but could be lurking in customers’ fridges at home.

The Finnish Food Safety Authority Evira has found E.coli in a cheese product sold at supermarkets in the capital region and in Lahti. The product has already been withdrawn from sale, but could be lurking in customers’ fridges at home.

Samples from the Filia grilling cheese, marketed by the Nostima Oy company, have been found to contain E.coli bacteria. The cheese has been removed from supermarket shelves.

The product had a use-by date of 22 September 2014, and was sold from 7 March at K Market stores in the Helsinki and Lahti regions.
