See which bus lines are affected by Finland's bus drivers' strike

Unless the Finnish Transport Workers' Union and employers come to an agreement, the strike is scheduled to continue for 10 days.

A bus drivers' strike that began Wednesday morning is expected to last 10 days unless a deal can be struck between the Finnish Transport Workers' Union (AKT) and employers.

Effects of the strike will prompt changes and even stop local bus services across many cities in the country and will also affect many long-distance coach routes.

Changes in Helsinki

In the Helsinki region, employees who work for public transit authority HSL's subcontracting firms Helsinki Bussiliikenne, Nobina, Pohjolan liikenne and Savonlinja are taking part in the strike. These companies' lines cover 90 percent of HSL's bus services.

According to HSL, the following bus lines are partially or completely cancelled during the strike:

Lines 40: 40, 41, 42, 52, 53, 55, 56, 57, 59, 61, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 69

Changes in Tampere

In Tampere, the strike affects the regional public transit authority Nysse's services, stopping more than half of Nysse's bus services.

Normal service is provided on lines 2, 7, 8, 17, 28, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 47, 58, 60, 63-67, 82, 86, 95X, 95KUTSU and 103. Lines 6, 12, 39A and 41 will operate some services. On other Nysse lines, services are suspended.

Changes in Turku

In Turku, the strike will affect the services of Turku's regional public transport authority Föli. Lines 99, 99A, 99B, 99C, 201, 203, 206, N2, N4, N5, R1 and R2, as well as lines 6, 6T, 7, 7A, 7T, 32, 32T, 42, 42T, 92, 93 and night line 31 will not operate.

Information in other cities

Other regional and city bus lines are affected by the strikes and their disruptions are posted on their local websites. These include Porvoo, Lahti, Jyväskylä, Joensuu, Lappeenranta, Kotka, Kouvola, Hämeenlinna, Pori, Kuopio, Oulu, and Rovaniemi.
