Authorities in Poland suspect a Finnish man in his thirties of attempted murder in central Warsaw last week.
According to Warsaw's district prosecutor's office, the suspect used a knife to attack a 17-year-old Ukrainian male last week.
The incident took place on the night of Wednesday 27 September on a thoroughfare in the city centre, Polish news outlet Polskie Radio RDC reported this week.
A prosecutor spokesperson noted that evidence gathered in the case suggested it is very likely that the suspect, who has since been taken into custody, is guilty of the attack.
The suspect did not have a permanent place of residence in Poland, the spokesperson told the outlet.
An attempted murder conviction in Poland can result in a life prison sentence, according to the RDC.
