The first woman on the high-earners list comes up at number 23.

Media outlets on Wednesday published the tax and income data of people earning more than 100,000 euros.

Anja Lyyrtö had the highest combined capital and income earnings of all the women on the list, after she sold the spare parts company Koivunen Oy.

Lyyrtö earned a total of approximately 15.5 million euros in combined capital and income earnings last year, with around 31,000 euros of it coming from earned income.

Occupying positions 20 and 22 on the list are Aimo and Jouko Lyyrtö, members of the same family.

Of Finland's top 1,000 earners, just 15 percent are women. Women in Finland earn on average about 16 percent less than men.
