Driving conditions will be poor in southern and central parts of Finland throughout Tuesday as a low pressure front brings heavy snowfall to many areas, according to Yle's meteorologist Elias Paakkanen.
"More than ten centimeters of snow could accumulate in the east, especially in North Karelia," Paakkanen said.
The snow showers will abate as they move north, and by tomorrow only a few centimeters is expected in southern and central parts of Finnish Lapland.
More snow is expected on Thursday, although the exact outlook is uncertain.
