Electricity spot price to rise slightly Monday

The spot price of electricity has come down from a record high on Friday, but prices still remain relatively high.

The average spot price of electricity on Monday will be slightly higher than Sunday. The average price during the day on Monday will be 13.87 cents per kilowatt hour (KWh) including VAT.

On Monday, the highest price for electricity on the exchange will be 20.73 cents per KWh between 3pm to 4pm.

The cheapest hour will be immediately between 12pm and 1am early Monday morning when the price will be 8.36 cents per KWh.

Spot prices of electricity reached record highs on Friday, but have since fallen back down. However, the spot prices are still, on average, higher than during the same time last year.
