The Paperworkers' Union has announced strikes for the start of February in protest at the government's labour market plans.
The strikes affect some 3,000 workers and will start on the morning of 1 February, ending on the morning of 3 February.
Locations affected include Stora Enso factories in Uimaharju, Imatra, Oulu and Varkaus; UPM plants in Kaukas, Kymi, Pietarsaari and Rauma, and Huhtamäki's factories.
There has been a wave of coordinated strike action aimed at forcing the government to reconsider plans to reform labour markets.
Unions say the plans will weaken workers' position. Entitlements to income-linked unemployment benefit are set to be cut, and sick leave would become partially unpaid under the plans.
In addition, the government wants to make it easier for firms to agree different terms to those in the sector-wide collective agreements that currently govern most workers' terms and conditions of employment.
