The top three in Yle's party support poll remained the same in September.
The Social Democrats remained at the top of the list with 22.6 percent support, an increase of 0.3 of a percentage point on the month before.
In second place on 20 percent was the National Coalition Party (NCP), which is down from 21.9 percent the month before.
The Finns Party remained steady at 16.7 percent.
Outside the top three there was a big rise for the Centre Party, which went from 10.8 percent support to 13.2 percent support under new leader Antti Kaikkonen.
The last time the Centre polled this high was in May 2022, and their result in the parliamentary election in 2023 was 11.3 percent.
Tuomo Turja from polling firm Taloustutkimus said that the survey data suggests that the Centre Party has succeeded in reaching its traditional supporters.
"When such a big jump comes, it is usually down to several factors," said Turja. "Support for the Centre Party among the 50-64 age group has risen strongly, as it has among women and the party's traditional bastions, so eastern and northern Finland."
Turja said that the shift to the Centre has occurred among those who had previously supported the National Coalition, the Finns Party and the Christian Democrats.
