Immigration has continued to sustain Finland's population growth, reports Statistics Finland.

According to the agency's preliminary data, Finland's population grew by nearly 32,700 people between January and November 2023, standing at approximately 5,637,000 at the end of November.

During this period, there were approximately 45,000 more immigrants than emigrants, while deaths outnumbered births by nearly 13,000.

Compared to the previous year, there were about 9,800 fewer immigrants and 600 fewer emigrants during the same period.

If net immigration remains at current levels, six million people will be living in Finland in just over 15 years, according to the agency's forecast published in October.
