Former Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin has filed a restraining order application with Helsinki District Court, according to a report by Helsingin Sanomat.
The newspaper writes that the court will hear the case on Friday 17 January, at 9am.
According to HS's information, the application relates to a man aged 36 years old, adding that he is "not widely known" in Finland.
HS further noted that a restraining order has been applied for against the man on at least two previous occasions.
A spokesperson for the district court told Yle that Marin must attend the hearing on Friday morning, or else the matter will not be dealt with.
Her former special adviser Iida Vallin told Yle that Marin will not comment on the matter. Vallin is currently a director at Marin's Ma/Pi company.
According to the Finnish police, a restraining order may be used "to stop harassment, threats, and unwanted messages" and each order varies according to the situation.
Marin served as Prime Minister of Finland from 2019 to 2023. She left Finnish politics in September 2023 to take up a role with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change.
