Some benefit payments from the Social Insurance Institution (Kela) have not been credited to customers' bank accounts on Friday.
According to Kela, the payments were sent to the banks normally and on time. However, not all of them had been transferred from the banks to the customers' accounts by midday.
The institution apologises for the inconvenience.
Finland's largest financial group, Osuuspankki (OP), confirmed that there was a problem with SEPA payments and said the situation was under investigation. In the afternoon, OP said that its services had returned to normal and that benefits were being paid.
Danske Bank also reported that due to a technical failure at another bank, some payments received by Danske Bank customers were delayed on Friday.
According to the bank, the delayed payments also include some salaries and pensions.
Both banks also issued apologies for the problems.
Nordea said that its services are operating normally.
