Finland's public health authority THL recommends Covid-19 booster vaccinations are rolled out this autumn for people over the age of 75 and individuals in risk groups.
THL is also advising immunocompromised individuals to get the jab, including elderly people living in care homes.
The health watchdog is further recommending booster doses for those over 18 with underlying health conditions that increase the risk of severe Covid symptoms.
Finland can expect another wave of coronavirus infections this autumn, according to the authority. Health experts recommend starting booster shots by October, ideally at the same time as seasonal flu vaccinations are offered.
