Jirka Hakala, a special adviser to Centre Party leader Antti Kaikkonen, will step down from his position following tabloid revelations that a pornographic video was filmed in his apartment.
Ilta-Sanomat reported on Tuesday that it obtained the video via the adult entertainment website OnlyFans, and determined that it had been filmed in Hakala's apartment.
Centre Party secretary Antti Siika-aho confirmed to Yle that Hakala would no longer serve as Kaikkonen's special adviser and would instead take up a position elsewhere in the party, although he refused to comment further on what type of role.
"I'm not going to get into it and I won't comment any further," Siika-aho said, as he also declined to answer any questions on the reason why Hakala was being moved.
Yle also attempted to reach Kaikkonen by phone, but he did not answer and later sent a text message saying he would not be commenting on the matter.
Yle understands that Hakala is currently on sick leave.
