The Southwest Finland Police reported significantly more incidents than during last year’s festivities, describing the archipelago in particular as "unsettled." Police were repeatedly called to deal with disturbances and fights in locations such as Mathildedahl in Salo and Nauvo in Parainen.

Authorities in Ostrobothnia also described the night as busy. In Korsnäs, a detached house caught fire, while in Alajärvi, a search was launched for young paddleboarders who had gone missing. They were later found safe at a friend’s summer cottage.
