The Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) has issued warnings for heat waves, thunderstorms and wildfires in many parts of the country on Tuesday.
Many of the warnings extend throughout the week.
A precipitation system is moving across south-western and southern parts of Finland on Tuesday, according to Tuomo Bergman, on-call meteorologist at FMI.
Local showers could continue in south-west areas during the day, while rain and thunderstorms are possible in northern areas on Tuesday, he said.
"In the north, the showers may be a bit heavier," he explained, adding that winds may pick up in those areas, too.
Finland's highest temperatures on Tuesday are expected in southwestern parts of Lapland, where the mercury could reach 30 degrees Celsius.
Heatwave warnings are issued when daily highs are expected to reach at least 27 degrees paired with average daily temperatures of 20 degrees.
