Mental health care in Finland: What's your experience as an immigrant?

A study in 2021 found that immigrants in Finland were more than twice as likely to develop mental health disorders than their native counterparts. Despite this, immigrants have been found to use and access mental health services less than the general population.

We're devoting an episode of the All Points North podcast to this important issue and want to highlight your experiences. We want to hear from immigrants in Finland who have considered, sought or received help with mental health issues.

What was it like? Were you able to get the help you needed? How much did it end up costing? Did you notice things that could be improved?

We understand that mental health issues are a very private matter to most people. But we can quote you entirely anonymously, if we can verify your identity confidentially. In other words, you can participate without revealing who you are.
