Most grocery stores and supermarkets across Finland will be open over Christmas week, but will operate on a reduced schedule.
However, some K-Citymarket and Prisma are open round the clock.
The exact store opening hours for all Kesko and S Group outlets can be found from their respective websites.
Lidl stores will be open until 4pm on Christmas Eve, but all of the German retail chain's outlets will be closed on Christmas Day before re-opening on Boxing Day, with opening hours they normally have on Sundays.
The specific opening hours for each Lidl outlet can also be found from the chain's website.
Alko open on morning of Christmas Eve
Alko shops will be open until 9pm on Tuesday 23 December, following regular weekday hours.
On Christmas Eve, Alko outlets will operate from 9am to 12 noon, and will then be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Finland's national mail carrier Posti meanwhile will close its own stores on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day — but the operation of its network of parcel lockers and service points will depend on the hours of the operators that host them.
"Most of our service points operate on the premises of our partner businesses, such as shops, kiosks, and service stations, and are open according to the partner’s opening hours," Posti explained in a press release.
Social benefits agency Kela’s service points and phone services will also be closed over the festive period. However, Kela's chatbot will be available 24/7 on the kela.fi website and OmaKela app.
