A Swedish government evacuation flight from the Middle East arrived early in the morning Sunday at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
On board were nearly 180 Swedish citizens as well as several Finns, according to public broadcaster Sveriges Radio.
Meanwhile, the Finnish Foreign Ministry is due to arrange its own evacuation flight on Sunday for Finnish nationals departing from Muscat, the capital of Oman. The aircraft has around 160 seats, with priority given to families with children and particularly vulnerable passengers.
The flight is scheduled to depart at 4pm local time and arrive at Helsinki Airport around midnight.
Travel company TUI said late on Saturday that two evacuation flights had been carried out from Abu Dhabi using aircraft operated by TUI Airways. The company said the passengers included 18 Nordic customers, six of whom were Finnish.
