The majority of Finns said they believe that the government led by PM Petteri Orpo (NCP) has failed in its handling of most policy areas, according to a survey by the Foundation for Municipal Development (KAKS).
Respondents were asked to assess the government's performance across 16 areas. It received a positive rating from a majority in only one, which was foreign, security and defence policy, where 54 percent judged its performance fairly or very good.
Dissatisfaction was most pronounced in social and healthcare services, as well as in employment and economic management.
As many as three-quarters of respondents said the government has performed poorly in handling employment.
The survey was conducted by Verian, which interviewed more than 1,000 people in late March and early April. The margin of error was just under three percentage points both ways.
The government unveiled its public finance plan for 2027–2030 this week.
