Stubb in Czech Republic for official two-day visit

President Alexander Stubb is joined on the trip by a Finnish business delegation from more than two dozen companies.

Finnish President Alexander Stubb began a two-day official visit to the Czech Republic on Monday.

According to the president's office, among other things, Stubb is to hold official talks with President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel.

Discussions during the visit are scheduled to focus on bilateral relations, economic and security cooperation, Russia's war in Ukraine, the Middle East situation's impact on energy security, as well as other topics.

On Tuesday, Stubb and Pavel are to take part in a Finnish–Czech Business Forum.

Among others, Stubb is accompanied on the trip by a Finnish business delegation from more than two dozen companies.

"The previous bilateral visit to the Czech Republic at the level of heads of state or government was President Martti Ahtisaari's state visit in 1996," a president's office press release noted.
